Marije and I had our hollidays in Greece. Since I had so many pictures, I chose to group them. The subjects are: animals, Gimp-art, by night, Sarakina, up close, Koziakas, Saloniki. There's even more to come!

Since I am a biology student, plants disserve a place on the photo page. These pictures were taken throughout this spring, both in Leiden and Bergen. This week I had a nice summer evening walk in Leiden, as you can see.
Have you ever heard of Kubb? There must be some information about it on wikipedia. It's a game in which one has to knock over the opponents' wooden blocks, by throwing a stick. Anyway... it's fun and you can see some (unfortunately not very colourful) photos here. I've tried to combine three photos, displayed at the bottom. If there's anything else you would like to see pictures of, ask me in the guestbook!

Mischa tried to melt the snow and I'm adding photos

Last Friday Mischa, a friend who lives in Groningen, released his first solo album: 'I tried to melt the snow but I ran out of matches'. One of the songs features me on my (french) horn. The cds can be ordered online at mischasings, or you can send me a (private) guestbook message to boost my personal sales! Samples of Mischas music can also be heard at mischasings.
For all CM members who joined us on our hitch hiking trip to Brugge (I know that's not the English name), there are eight little impressions of it in the photo part.
Last summer Marije and I visited Maastricht and my grandparents in the south of Limburg. Have a look here!
Efteling and Topsafe

Finally the new photo page is in use. I'm still thinking about how to make it more navigable (of course you can give me your advice in my guestbook). To celebrate our one-year anniversary, Marije and I visited the Efteling. It was a very warm, sunny and quiet day, so we couldn't have picked a better date. To have some more photos on my website, and because my fellow Topsafe inhabitants are posting messages in my guestbook, there are also some photos I took on the evening of our Christmas dinner in Februari.

All loyal fans have noticed sjoerdThuisman has been thoroughly neglected. The main reason for this is the fact I've been busy, but there's another reason: a totally new website was being formed under my fingers. I now use HTML 4.01 Strict (for non-nerds: an almost 21st century orthography, instead of the 'Middle English' I used before). The photo part (probably the most essential part of my website) is still under construction, but I couldn't wait to show you this. All feedback is more than welcome in my guestbook!

On hamsters, squirrels, archaeologists and musicians

Hi! Today I've added a wide selection of photos, to make up for the infrequency of updates. The first foto added is one of the nonet, featuring me! It is followed by photos of a squirrel and a very pretty hamster. On our concert tour to Ireland there was too much stress and too little time to see the country, so I went back to Dublin a few weeks later, to attend the Sixth World Archaeological Congress, which was fun... You can click here to have a look at the impressive programme. Because no one seems to be able to view the 3D-pictures of either Nafplion castle or this statue near Schöningen, you can see two moving 3D fountains on the photo page. Just kep trying to see the cross-eyed ones, because it's very impressive (found some nice ones on the intenet as wel). P.S. These might be the last pictures of my Konika-Minolta to be added to sjoerdThuisman, because I'm planning to buy a DSLR. You could once see my old camera on the left here.
Cleanup

This website is experiencing a mayor cleanup. Many changes are invisible (folder system) but some are viewable. Many photos have been removed and the link section has been renewed. I'm still working on new pictures, so you can expect further updates!
